Job Description

We are searching for energetic and resilient individuals to join our secondary school support teams in Birkenhead. This is a perfect role for someone who is organised, firm, but fair, and ready to help students succeed. We offer both day to day and long term supply with a competitive salary.

Job Responsibility

Managing classroom resources to ensure every student has the tools to learn
Helping students stay on task during independent study periods
Breaking down complex project instructions into manageable mini-tasks
Promoting positive behaviour by rewarding focused work with verbal praise
Assisting the teacher with the digital recording of attendance and progress
Leading small catch-up sessions for students who have missed lessons
Helping maintain a tidy, inspiring, and safe classroom environment

Requirements

Previous work in childcare, schools, youth coaching, or community volunteering is preferred
Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
A genuine desire to help teenagers grow academically and socially
building rapport with children
good behaviour management skills
good classroom management
good communication skills
