This role is perfect for those who want to make a tangible difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or those who display challenging behaviour.Impact Beyond the Grades: Act as a stabiliser in the classroom, helping students regulate their emotions and remain engaged in their education.Specialised Career Path: This is the perfect springboard for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Social Workers, Youth Justice Workers, or SEN Teachers.Work-Life Balance: Enjoy typical school hours (approx. 8:30 am - 3:30 pm) with no take-home work-giving you the space to recharge after a high-energy day.Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £90 - £95 per day, paid every Friday via Randstad.Your Role as a Behavioural MentorAs a Behavioural Support Assistant, you are a role model and a guide, helping students navigate the complexities of school life.De-escalation & Support: Recognise triggers and use low-level de-escalation techniques to prevent classroom disruptions and keep students on task.1:1 & Small Group Mentorship: Work closely with specific students to build rapport, improve their social skills, and boost their self-esteem through structured intervention.Inclusion Support: Assist the school's Inclusion or Bridge unit, providing a safe space for students who find the mainstream classroom environment overwhelming.Collaborative Strategy: Work alongside the SENCO and Pastoral Leads to implement individual behaviour plans (IBPs) and ensure a consistent approach to student welfare.
