We are seeking dedicated Behavioural Mentors to work with students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Years 7-11). This role is perfect for those who want to make a tangible difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or those who display challenging behaviour.
Job Responsibility
De-escalation & Support: Recognise triggers and use low-level de-escalation techniques to prevent classroom disruptions and keep students on task
1:1 & Small Group Mentorship: Work closely with specific students to build rapport, improve their social skills, and boost their self-esteem through structured intervention
Inclusion Support: Assist the school's Inclusion or "Bridge" unit, providing a safe space for students who find the mainstream classroom environment overwhelming
Collaborative Strategy: Work alongside the SENCO and Pastoral Leads to implement individual behaviour plans (IBPs) and ensure a consistent approach to student welfare
