Job Responsibility

  • Assist in external financial reporting including Form 10-K's, 10-Q's, 8-Ks, Proxy, earnings releases, and internal/management reporting as required
  • Prepare/or review quarterly financial statements
  • Lead various process improvement initiatives in order to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency of the SEC reporting process
  • Ensure compliance and review of the XBRL process
  • Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors
  • Support tests performed by internal and external auditors on internal controls
  • Assist with external facing stakeholder activities such as attending accounting conferences, industry roundtables and/or standard setting working groups
  • Partner with the accounting and finance department to create a high-performance team
  • Benchmark studies, ad-hoc projects and research on SEC or technical updates, as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in accounting, Finance, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a finance - related occupation
  • Experience must include 6 months of experience in the following: Preparing support schedules and footnote disclosures to support SEC filings, investor relations and/or audits
  • Researching, evaluating and documenting technical accounting conclusions
  • Researching and implementing accounting standards
  • Reviewing annual and quarterly activities with external auditors
  • Process simplification for Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Analysing financial results using pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP’s, HLOOKUPs, in Excel
  • Maintaining compliance with GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements
  • Educating and assisting business partners on complex technical matters
  • Developing or maintaining operational benchmarks
  • XBRL process
