Job Description

We are looking for a skilled SEC Reporting Analyst to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in technical accounting and financial reporting to ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a pivotal part in managing financial reporting processes, overseeing monthly close activities, and handling equity, debt, and lease transactions. Job Responsibility

  • Lead efforts to maintain compliance with ASC 842 and other accounting standards
  • Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, corporate policies, and procedures
  • Manage aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines and cutoffs are met
  • Monitor updates to regulatory standards and implement necessary changes to reporting processes
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and accounting teams to prepare and submit 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings
  • Develop supporting schedules and documentation required for SEC filings
  • Work across departments to anticipate accounting challenges and propose effective solutions for business transactions
  • Implement and oversee systems related to lease accounting
  • Adapt work schedules to meet business demands, including evenings and weekends when necessary

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in technical accounting, with expertise in lease accounting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • prior experience with ASC standards is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA certification or eligibility is preferred
  • Proficiency in using business tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
