Job Description:

The Seaway Dock Master will be responsible for the facilitation and maintenance of the Loading Dock. This position will also be responsible for managing building access for all contractors and vendors who need to enter the building to perform a service. This position will be in charge and provide additional logistical support and guidance to the loading dock and receiving areas.

Job Responsibility:

  • Insure open communication and work process with the Director of Purchasing, Director of Residences and Security Department to determine best practices for their specific needs
  • Management of the loading dock area for operational hours
  • Management of the parking in loading dock area for control and facilitation of delivery and contractor vehicles
  • Coordinate with Security proper management of delivery schedules related to hotel, residential and retail clients
  • Facilitate building access for vendors, contractors and other entities doing business with Four Seasons Surf Club Hotel & Residences
  • Maintaining order of trash receptacles, ensuring employees are breaking down boxes, and limiting bulk items placed in receptacle bins
  • Monitor loading dock bay for proper egress routes, prohibiting improper or unauthorized storage of material
  • Ensure all employees, vendors, and contractors adhere to loading dock rules and regulations
  • Reporting violators to appropriate Department heads
  • Maintain accountability and general maintenance for all dock equipment
  • Assist with receiving and scanning courier parcels into package tracking software and coordinate delivery and notification of parcels to specific departments
  • Maintain all necessary Loading Dock logs and checklists daily

Requirements:

  • Requires a working knowledge of loading dock procedures
  • Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications
  • Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment
  • Ability to read and speak and write English
