Job Description:

Permanent position as a Seawater Operative at Seawater sites near Clare Island, Co. Mayo. Part of the team reporting directly to the Site Manager with opportunity to progress within the Seawater department. 39hr week, any 5 days out of 7.

Job Responsibility:

  • Feeding Stock
  • Grading, Transfers, Weighing
  • Harvesting
  • Boat Handling
  • Net changes
  • Record keeping
  • Maintenance of nets and cages
  • Environmental Monitoring
  • Marine Crane/HIAB Operations
  • ROV Operation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in farming environment (aquaculture environment desirable)
  • Crane qualifications
  • Boat handling/Skippers ticket, an advantage
  • Good communication skills (English)
  • Experience with computers would be an advantage
  • IT literacy, an advantage
