Job Description

The Seasoning Operator is responsible for seasoning product to required standards while maintaining a continuous flow of product to the packaging lines. Responsibilities include making minor adjustments to the machinery to achieve the correct product and seasoning flow, troubleshooting, maintenance of machinery, and record keeping.

Job Responsibility

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Safety Regulations
  • Maintain seasoner with correct seasoning at appropriate levels
  • Identify seasoning equipment problems and correct problems
  • Assemble and disassemble seasoning line equipment correctly
  • Handle line clean-ups and changeovers
  • Perform chemical, Kosher, and allergen cleaning
  • Perform seasoner set-up duties
  • Complete documentation for monitoring the seasoning process
  • Perform minor adjustments and maintenance on all equipment
  • Retrieve correct and adequate supplies from warehouse to sufficiently stock lines
  • Assist R&D in testing new seasoning and conducting trials
  • Perform sanitation of scales and seasoning tumblers
  • Calibrate load cells for accurate seasoning application
  • Ensure product is within QA specifications and adjust if necessary
  • May perform seasoning checks on finished product
  • Perform verification on level sensors using calibration tools
  • Perform verification on no-seasoning laser sensor
  • Assist with scale calibration
  • Utilize operator interface panels to perform seasoning drop tests, adjust seasoning settings, and operate equipment
  • Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions for seasoning issues
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required
  • 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required
