Job Description

Help us “Bring Out the Best!” Unilever is now recruiting a Warehouse Operator at our Rexdale facility where we produce Hellmann’s Mayonnaise. As a Warehouse Technician, you will perform tasks related to receipt, shipment, and storage of materials.

Job Responsibility

  • Utilizes basic personal computer skills to maintain necessary files and documentation related to the shipment and receipt of materials. Completes applicable paperwork
  • Operates a hand truck, counterbalance forklift and walkie stacker to move raw materials and finished goods to and from warehousing areas and production floor, outbound or inbound transportation equipment. Stores raw materials and finished products in appropriate warehouse area, following FIFO inventory rotation and Allergen Storage Regulations
  • Supply materials to production Lines
  • Operate palletizers, Depalletizers, Wrapper and Trunkline
  • Responsible for following Unilever safety, health, and environment regulations
  • Under limited supervision, carries out various shipping and/or receiving activities such as
  • Shipping: Loading trailers, generating paperwork for outbound loads, checking goods against shipping documents
  • understanding transportation methods and routes
  • verifying identification and quality of product and loading shipments
  • Receiving: Unloading goods, checking against bills of lading, packing slips, COA. verifying rejects, damaged/misdirected goods, and stores goods in appropriate locations
  • Reads and comprehends work instructions and performs daily safety inspection of forklift and other associated equipment
  • Occasionally may lift or move up to 50 pounds. Regularly standing and walking
  • Actively participates in improvement activities (One-Point-Lesson’s, 5S)
  • May work in areas where temperatures vary greatly

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must read and comprehend written specifications in the English language
  • Ability to get forklift certified
  • "D" Licensed required
  • 6+ months warehouse experience
  • including inbound and outbound dispatching, integrated inventory management, computer generated documentation, as well as experience in count reconciliation, and data input as applied to computerized inventory systems

  • Operate the seed conditioning equipment per shift assignment
  • Assist in collection of soybean samples at the receiving pit and conditioning equipment for both lab analysis and periodic quality checks
  • Deliver tower samples on a daily basis to the production office
  • Assist with seed count calculations with the tower operations coordinator to establish the 140M unit size
  • Assist the tower operations coordinator and packaging foreman on work and information flow in tower operations
  • Assist with completing paperwork on the tower forms
  • Repair and maintenance with limited millwright duties as assigned
  • and being designated as a 'Lock Out/Tag Out' official when repairs or maintenance is done on facility equipment
