Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Successful completion of tax preparation courses or training programs (e.g., H&R Block Tax Course, Jackson Hewitt Tax Course) is a plus
1-3 years of experience in preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses
Familiarity with different types of tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065) and corresponding schedules
Previous experience working in a public accounting firm or tax preparation office preferred
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, TurboTax, Drake, UltraTax, TaxSlayer)
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
Familiarity with IRS regulations, forms, and publications
Competent with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in tax filings

Requirements

Minimum of 2+ years of paid professional tax preparation experience
Must provide CRA RepID (representative identifier) upon successful onboarding

Job Responsibility

Ensure all source data of financial information is correct and complete
Calculate annual tax liabilities for all entities and file disregarded entity's tax returns for CA companies
Manage, review, and prepare the annual estimated taxes for federal and state before the tax due dates
Regularly communicate with in-house counsel and Executive management, especially during the heavy tax season for any and all related tax issues and regulations
Maintain understanding and knowledge of tax law and software application by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses
Analyze and compare source data for investment portfolios and make necessary adjustments to prepare all related tax returns for filing
Handle IRS and state authority inquiries, tax notices, and tax examinations
