Requirements

Experience operating grounds maintenance machinery, or keen to develop these skills
Towing experience, or willing to work towards it
Good understanding of ride-on and tractor-mounted equipment
Understands machine capabilities, limitations, and safe operation
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision
Can positively lead and motivate a small team
Takes pride in maintaining equipment and delivering work
Communicates clearly with supervisors and colleagues
A full UK driving licence is essential

Job Responsibility

Operate grounds maintenance machinery safely and efficiently
Use ride-on and tractor-mounted mowers in line with site specifications
Tow trailers and equipment (or work towards towing competence)
Plan daily workloads and complete all allocated sites
Motivate and coordinate a small team (up to two operatives)
Carry out daily checks, basic maintenance, and cleaning of machinery
Identify defects and report issues promptly
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and presentation
Work flexibly to support business and seasonal requirements

Clean and prepare storage facilities including grain bins and ground piles
Load trains when shipping grain to a customer facility (if at a rail loading facility)
Visually monitor grain and grain products for irregularities
