Job Description:

Ace on the Lake is seeking a Seasonal Greenhouse Associate to join our team! This position is perfect for individuals who love working with plants, enjoy customer interaction, and take pride in creating an inviting garden center. As a Greenhouse Associate, you will be responsible for the daily care of greenhouse plants, assisting customers with their gardening needs, and maintaining an attractive, well-stocked outdoor garden center. This is a seasonal position that will begin the first week of May and end the first week of July. This position could lead to an opportunity to transition to another position within our store at the end of the garden season, if applicable.

Job Responsibility:

  • Water, prune, and monitor the health of all greenhouse plants
  • Provide knowledgeable customer service and gardening advice
  • Assist customers with selecting plants, soils, fertilizers, and garden décor
  • Merchandise and restock outdoor products, ensuring displays are organized and visually appealing
  • Maintain a clean and safe greenhouse and garden center area
  • Unload and properly stock plant deliveries

Requirements:

  • Passion for plants and gardening
  • Friendly, customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stand for long periods
  • Weekend availability may be required
  • Previous retail or greenhouse experience is a plus but not required
