Job Description:

Would you like to work in one of the largest State Parks in Wyoming? If the answer is YES, then Boysen State Park is for you! Boysen is home to a 19,000-acre lake surrounded by multiple campground and boat ramp locations. We are looking for individuals who are self-starters and are yearning for a little adventure for the summer! Positions include working in the fee booths, maintaining the grounds, and ensuring that our facilities are clean and ready for our visitors. Some seasonal positions may begin earlier in the year and/or extend longer into the fall. The actual length of employment depends on the work location and the type of job performed. Job Responsibility:

  • Greet visitors, collect admission fees, and provide excellent customer service
  • Answer visitor questions and provide information about the site
  • Handle monetary transactions, which include fee collection and gift shop sales
  • Responsible for cash register reconciliation
  • Responsible for restocking gift shop shelves and tracking inventory
  • Answer the telephone system
  • Transfer calls to appropriate personnel
  • Assist with general administrative duties, reports, and data entry
  • Perform opening and closing duties, as well as cleaning and maintenance as needed
  • Provide janitorial services in the building and will assist with special projects and events
  • Perform routine building, grounds, and landscape maintenance, minor carpentry repairs, painting, and mowing
  • Assist staff in the construction, installation, maintenance, and renovation of grounds and buildings
  • Clean and service restrooms, shelters, and buildings, and remove litter from grounds, parking lots, and other public areas
  • Operate and/or drive a variety of vehicles, including light and heavy equipment
  • Operate a variety of maintenance equipment, including mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other tools required for daily operations
  • Utilize various hand and power tools
  • Follow proper handling and safety procedures for cleaning chemicals and fuel products encountered in daily operations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • May interact with the visiting public, answering basic questions

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and thorough in completing assignments/tasks
  • Good interpersonal skills allowing the ability to interact with visitors from around the world
  • Willingness to work on a variety of assignments every day
  • Experience in handling money, cash registers, and retail sales
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects with variable timelines and scopes of work
  • Basic construction and maintenance knowledge
  • Basic operational knowledge of light and heavy equipment use, as well as hand and power tools
  • Basic safety awareness of equipment use
