Job Description:

ADAS, part of the RSK Group, is seeking Seasonal Ecologists to join our highly skilled ecology team. These are fixed-term contract positions for six months throughout the busy spring and summer period to start in March / April with the potential to extend into a permanent position for the right candidates. It’s a great opportunity to start your ecology career, working with experienced ecologists on a variety of surveys and projects. We aim to get each Seasonal Ecologist involved in all aspects of ecological consultancy – from quoting to surveys and the follow on reporting. Support and mentoring will be provided at all stages.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out a range of ecological surveys (skills dependent) and assist senior colleagues with other surveys to develop skill set
  • Carry out desk studies, consultations, research, data management and analysis, and report writing
  • Deliver work as efficiently as possible in order to meet agreed timescales and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic individual keen to develop an ecology career
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Someone open to flexible working with regard to the type of work, timing and location with night and weekend work as and when required
  • Experience with European Protected Species survey work (not essential)
