Job Description

The CAMPO Pool Server must be knowledgeable of menu and preparation methods. They will respond to all interactions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and attend to guest needs and requests with a sense of urgency in the Resort’s Food & Beverage areas.

Job Responsibility

  • Take guest orders and describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests
  • Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
  • Coordinate food and beverage timings
  • Check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order and transport items to the guest table or lounge chair
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks
  • Process cash and credit card payments
  • Properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Assist with CAMPO Bartending duties during relief periods or for scheduled shifts
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years’ food service or related work
  • Required Food Handlers Permit and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Permit
  • Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required
  • Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort
  • Strong oral presentation skills
  • Ability to carry and balance a tray
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas
  • Experience in a luxury hotel or resort
