Job Description:

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley is looking for a CAMPO and Pool Bartender. Take care of guests by providing exceptional and anticipatory service. The CAMPO Bartender will serve guests by providing exceptional knowledge of wine spirits and mixed drinks as well as information regarding preparation methods. This is a Seasonal position, April through October.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic ingredients and drinks to answer questions and accommodate off-menu requests
  • Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
  • check completed orders with the guest’s original order
  • Service and take orders from guests seated at a bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of bar and back-bar stations
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks
  • process cash and credit card payments
  • properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Serve food items in the bar area
  • Assist with bar inventory
  • Assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas
  • Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent experiences
  • Minimum one year bartending or related work
  • Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required
  • Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
  • Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety, of wines, spirits, and missed drinks
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • This position is not eligible for work sponsorship/visa. Candidates must possess valid US work authorization
