Job Description

This role is firmly aimed at people who already work in the seafood trade. We are working with a well-established pan-European food business with a serious seafood offering and a long track record in the market. They are well run, commercially switched on, and quietly investing in growth across Ireland. No big corporate noise, just a business that knows what it is doing and backs its people. The role is remote, but you must be based in Ireland. You will be trusted to run your territory properly and build long-term relationships, not just chase short-term wins.

Job Responsibility

  • Grow existing accounts, open new ones
  • Manage own diary, plan activities
  • Work closely with internal teams on pricing, forecasting, and customer strategy

Requirements

  • Already understand species, formats, margins, and how the seafood trade really works
  • Proven experience selling seafood to distributors, wholesalers, or fish merchants is essential
  • Existing relationships or strong credibility within the trade
  • Comfortable dealing with experienced buyers
  • Confident managing own territory, time, and pipeline in a remote role
  • Commercially minded, with ability to spot opportunities and turn conversations into long-term business
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with internal teams on pricing, forecasting, and customer plans
