As a Sea Freight Specialist at Aramex, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding sea freight inquiries. Your role is crucial in maintaining strong client relationships while delivering customized freight solutions to meet their specific needs. You will play a pivotal role in procuring competitive rates, managing shipments from start to finish, and supporting the sales team in securing new business opportunities in the sea transportation sector.

Efficiently assist clients in resolving any claims, payment issues, or pending shipments related to sea freight, ensuring prompt and effective solutions
Oversee the entire lifecycle of sea freight shipments, meticulously managing the process from booking to delivery to ensure timely and efficient execution
Provide invaluable support to the sales team by delivering accurate quotes and actively pursuing new business opportunities within the sea freight domain
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to effectively coordinate sea freight logistics and optimize operational efficiency
Skillfully negotiate competitive rates with carriers, agents, and offices to secure the most favorable pricing for clients in sea transportation
Exceed overall freight targets for assigned customers through proactive management and the implementation of strategic initiatives tailored to the sea freight industry
Promptly report any operational failures to line management and keep clients informed of any delays or issues impacting their sea freight shipments
Diligently monitor profit and loss (P&L) metrics and effectively manage job invoicing within the sea freight realm
Manage sea freight inquiries with precision, preparing quotations and coordinating seamlessly with both local and international clients
Drive a culture of continuous improvement in on-time delivery performance for serviced sea freight trade lanes
Ensure the accurate adoption of CargoWise and maintain the utmost integrity in milestone status updates pertaining to sea freight operations
Expertly cultivate and manage relationships with sea freight customers at the station level to enhance negotiating power and secure competitive rates
Collaborate seamlessly with the regional pricing desk, providing necessary support for requests for quotations (RFQs), projects, and tenders within the sea freight domain as required
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
3-4 years of relevant experience in the sea freight forwarding industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of global trade lanes, shipping lines, and sea freight solutions
Proven track record in customer service and managing key business clients, along with adept negotiation skills in dealing with shipping lines
Familiarity with CargoWise is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent written communication skills, particularly in crafting professional emails
