Job Description

Wiseway Logistics (WWG) is a rapidly expanding ASX-listed international freight forwarding company, with a global presence spanning eleven cities across five countries. We are a licensed customs broker with custom bonded warehouses, offering a wide range of logistics solutions to meet the needs of our clients. Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Sea Freight Container Transportation Supervisor to join our Sydney team. This role is pivotal in managing the allocation of Full Container Load (FCL) jobs to our fleet of container trucks.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinating with customers and warehouse teams to book slots and arrange delivery schedules to/from customer premises, depots, and wharves
  • Arranging and coordinating FCL containers and managing the logistics of sea freight
  • Monitoring container availability and ensuring timely cartage delivery to customers
  • Monitoring and following up on empty container status, and organizing de-hire within the container detention-free time
  • Preparing documentation for transport contractors and ensuring all Customs & Quarantine requirements are met
  • Monitoring driver performance and ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Addressing customer inquiries and ensuring a high standard of customer service at all times

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, transport, or logistics
  • Sound knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics processes
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English
  • Experience in container transportation
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently
  • Experience with the CargoWise/EDI system (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy
  • An Australian Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred)
