This role will focus on supporting new business development, client engagement, and subscription sales activity across Asia-Pacific. The Business Development Executive will help identify and engage prospects, support outreach campaigns, assist with renewals and upsell opportunities, and contribute to the development of Oxford Economics’ client base across a range of sectors, including financial services, real estate, manufacturing, automotive, construction and infrastructure, mining, consumer, technology, and travel and tourism.
Job Responsibility
Support the sales of Oxford Economics’ subscription services through prospecting, outreach, meetings, calls, and conferences
Identify and research prospective clients across assigned sectors and territories
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects, working closely with senior sales colleagues and regional leadership
Support the development and execution of sales campaigns for subscription products
Conduct market research to identify key companies, stakeholders, and potential sales opportunities
Assist with client relationship management, including renewal preparation, follow-up activity, and identifying potential upsell opportunities
Maintain awareness of global economic and business trends to support informed conversations with prospects and clients
Help prepare sales presentations, client materials, webinars, and meeting follow-ups
Attend prospective client meetings and support senior colleagues in progressing opportunities through the sales cycle
Work closely with the economics team and regional colleagues to promote the Oxford Economics brand and research offering in the region
Support the preparation of weekly sales reports for senior management
Share market feedback, client insights, and sales opportunities with immediate and regional teams
Ensure contact details for new leads and prospects are accurately recorded in Salesforce
Ensure details and outcomes from meetings, calls, and follow-up activity are recorded in Salesforce
Support the organisation and delivery of events to raise brand profile and generate sales opportunities
Assist with marketing campaigns to promote Oxford Economics’ subscription services
Provide feedback from client and prospect conversations to support product and marketing improvements
Requirements
Some experience in sales, business development, client-facing work, or a commercially focused role
Interest in economic research, business intelligence, financial markets, or advisory services
Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and prospects
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up effectively
Strong presentation and writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Self-motivated, proactive, and keen to develop within a consultative sales environment
Strong team player with a collaborative approach
Nice to have
Degree in economics, finance, business, international affairs, or a related discipline
Exposure to selling research, data, subscriptions, SaaS, financial information, or professional services
Interest in finance, corporate, government, or ASEAN markets
