Job Description:

The Business Consulting - Technical Analyst role at NTT DATA requires a skilled individual with expertise in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), API automation, and manual testing. The candidate will design and execute automated test frameworks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality software delivery. Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using BDD practices
  • Write and maintain test scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin
  • Develop API automation scripts using tools such as Rest Assured / Postman / Karate / SuperTest
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
  • Execute manual test cases and document defects using defect tracking tools
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and create effective test strategies
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile ceremonies
  • Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps)
  • Ensure test coverage for RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems
  • Review logs and troubleshoot failures to identify root causes
  • Maintain test documentation, test cases, and reports

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in BDD framework implementation (Cucumber with Java/JS)
  • Hands-on experience in API automation testing
  • Experience with tools like: Rest Assured / Karate / Postman
  • Selenium (optional but preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, XML
  • Experience with manual testing methodologies
  • Understanding of SDLC and STLC
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environment
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of Git or other version control tools
  • Basic SQL knowledge for database validation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 Years experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter – optional)
  • Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes (nice to have)
  • Experience in microservices architecture testing
