Job Description:

Wissen Technology is Hiring for SDET – Playwright. We are seeking an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with deep expertise in Playwright and modern automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing automation frameworks from scratch, implementing UI and API automation, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. This role demands strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, hands‑on automation skills, and experience delivering high‑quality test solutions for enterprise-level applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and build scalable automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright
  • Configure and integrate Playwright MCP server for AI‑driven browser automation
  • Establish automation best practices, coding standards, and reusable components
  • Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, TeamCity)
  • Develop end‑to‑end UI automation scripts using Playwright
  • Implement design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM)
  • Automate REST API test cases using Playwright’s native API capabilities
  • Validate API payloads, status codes, authentication, and data flows
  • Configure reporting tools (Allure, Playwright HTML Reporter) for visibility
  • Track defects, document results, and communicate test metrics/KPIs
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality releases

Requirements:

  • Playwright & Playwright MCP – strong, hands‑on experience
  • JavaScript & TypeScript – strong proficiency
  • UI Automation – experience handling complex and dynamic UIs
  • API Automation – expertise with REST API automation (Playwright or similar)
  • Framework Design – proven ability to design automation frameworks from scratch
  • Design Patterns – familiarity with POM, data‑driven, keyword‑driven frameworks
  • CI/CD – strong experience with GitLab, TeamCity, or similar tools
  • Version Control – proficiency with Git and branching strategies
  • Defect Management – experience with Jira or similar tools

Nice to have:

  • Experience with performance testing (JMeter, Locust, k6)
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) for automation environments
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
  • Knowledge of security testing basics (OAuth flows, token handling)
  • Experience with API mock servers (WireMock, MockServer)
  • Exposure to microservices testing and distributed systems
  • Ability to mentor team members on Playwright best practices
