We are looking for a Scrum Master to guide Agile delivery efforts for development teams in Jacksonville, Florida. This Long-term Contract position will focus on strengthening sprint execution, improving team collaboration, and maintaining clear delivery visibility through effective Jira administration and Agile facilitation. The ideal candidate will help teams work efficiently, encourage continuous improvement, and support consistent delivery outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee Jira project setup and administration, including workflow adjustments, board configuration, and reporting tools that support delivery tracking
Lead core Scrum events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives to keep teams aligned and productive
Monitor sprint health using burndown charts and other metrics to provide transparency into progress, risks, and team performance
Guide development teams on Agile principles and Scrum practices to encourage stronger collaboration and steady process improvement
Coordinate sprint activities to help teams stay focused on priorities and complete committed work within established timelines
Identify obstacles affecting delivery and work with stakeholders to remove impediments that may slow team progress
Requirements:
Hands-on experience serving as a Scrum Master within Agile software development environments
Strong knowledge of Scrum methodology, Agile frameworks, and iterative delivery practices
Proficiency with Jira, including project configuration, workflow management, and dashboard creation
Ability to interpret and communicate sprint metrics such as burndown and team velocity
Certified Scrum Master designation or equivalent Scrum certification
Effective facilitation, coaching, and communication skills across technical teams and stakeholders
