Carex is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Health Sciences Org in an Agile delivery environment. This role is responsible for effectively managing development sprints from planning through execution and review, ensuring teams deliver high-quality outcomes on time and with intention. The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage backlogs, support requirements documentation, and proactively remove impediments to keep teams moving efficiently. This role partners closely with technical teams, business process stakeholders, and senior leadership to drive alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement across medium to high-complexity initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Manage medium to high-complexity development projects and support sprint and release execution
Partner with stakeholders to create, analyze, and maintain business requirements and project timelines
Guide teams in estimation practices and facilitate story, epic, and sprint-level estimates
Drive sprint execution while protecting the team from uncontrolled scope changes and unplanned work
Identify, remove, and escalate impediments to maintain team flow and delivery momentum
Manage project conflicts, challenges, and shifting business priorities to sustain high performance
Collaborate with technical leads to resolve issues and unblock roadblocks
Provide indirect leadership to cross-functional resources across business and technology teams
Mentor junior team members and promote Agile best practices
Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase team velocity, quality, and predictability
Maintain accurate team data, metrics, and artifacts in project management tools
Analyze Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, backlog health) to improve planning and execution
Present high-level project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership
Support cross-team coordination related to priorities, dependencies, and scope
Apply advanced Agile, Scrum, and Kanban principles to improve delivery outcomes
Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
Support and comply with Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master and/or Project Manager
2+ years of hands-on experience leading Agile sprints
Demonstrated ability to coach teams on Agile Scrum implementation
Strong understanding of iterative and incremental development principles
Deep knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices
experience with Kanban is required
Proven experience working with technical teams to size and plan stories and epics
Strong understanding of Agile metrics including backlog tracking, burndown charts, velocity, and user stories
Experience conducting retrospectives, postmortems, and root cause analysis
Ability to represent and balance both business and technology perspectives
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
