Job Description

The Scrum Master performs a wide variety of scrum team-related duties for software development, team status monitoring, and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reporting. The Scrum Master works closely with all Product Owner and other stakeholders to schedule and organize sprint ceremonies and team related events. If selected you will be working with talented global teams consisting of software, system, and test engineers. Aptiv develops cutting edge advanced driver-assistance systems, and user experience products which enhances vehicle safety.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive the team to embrace, adopt and apply agile principles, practices, and values
  • Monitor the team’s progress towards goals by focusing on performance improvements
  • Lead the team in tracking and removing impediments
  • Lead team efforts in continuous improvement through effective retrospectives.
  • Evaluate and assess the agile maturity of the team
  • coach team to higher levels
  • Build a trusting environment with focus on problem solving
  • Facilitate team meetings
  • daily stand-up, iteration and sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
  • Aid with communication, improving transparency
  • Provide guidance to Product Owner and team on maintaining backlog and sprint planning
  • Provide support and coach the team on effective work breakdown, estimation and planning
  • Facilitate preparation and readiness for Program Iteration (PI) planning and follow-up
  • Ensure strong collaboration with Scrum Coordinators and Software Quality Assurance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)
  • At least one year of work experience in Automotive Industry or Consumer Electronics
  • Bilingual – proficient in English speaking/reading/writing
  • Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge
  • Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects at once
  • Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile
  • Familiarity with scaled Agile framework

Nice to have

  • Scrum Master certification
  • Experience with Automotive SPICE (Software Performance Improvement and Capability dEtermination)
  • Experience with SDLC tools such as JIRA, Requirements management tool (like Polarion), Configuration management tool (like Plastic)
  • Demonstrated ability in creation and review of project specific documentation
  • Experience with Automotive Embedded product development
