Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to act as a servant leader and delivery facilitator for agile squads within Vodafone Network Operations. This role plays a critical part in enabling teams to deliver high-quality digital tools and automation solutions that improve network availability and operational efficiency. You will coordinate agile activities, guide teams on best practices, and help ensure that sprint and release objectives are met while fostering continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate the delivery of multiple initiatives using Agile frameworks such as Scrum and SAFe
  • Organise and facilitate core agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement sessions, and escalation mitigation calls
  • Support squads in maintaining a well-refined backlog, ensuring clarity on upcoming objectives and alignment with measurable outcomes
  • Define delivery timelines, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation actions to ensure commitments are met
  • Remove impediments, facilitate constructive conflict resolution, and enable effective collaboration across cross-functional teams
  • Manage sprint execution end-to-end, ensuring all planned activities are completed and value is delivered
  • Use visualisation boards and delivery metrics to manage workflow, track progress, and provide reliable forecasts and reporting
  • Promote adherence to Scrum and SAFe principles while supporting teams in continuous improvement and change adoption
  • Take an active role in the Agile community of practice, sharing knowledge and supporting agile maturity across the organisation
  • Facilitate customer-facing sessions to provide transparent updates on delivery progress and outcomes

Requirements

  • An experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in IT or Telco operations and a proven record of delivery
  • Confident working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban, ideally with at least three years’ experience in software development environments
  • Knowledgeable in DevOps concepts, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, ideally within public cloud environments
  • Comfortable working across distributed, multicultural teams and managing interdependencies in complex environments
  • A clear and inclusive communicator with excellent English verbal and written skills
  • A proactive problem-solver with strong time management skills and the ability to remain effective under pressure
  • Able to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at both operational and strategic levels
