We are partnering with a leading international insurance organization that is investing heavily in digital innovation and modernization of its distribution platforms. As part of a newly formed agile delivery team, they are looking for a Scrum Master who enjoys building strong teams, guiding Agile adoption, and helping organizations move toward a more mature and effective delivery environment. This is a greenfield initiative, meaning the right person will play an important role not only in running Scrum processes, but also in shaping the team culture and Agile practices from the ground up. You will act as the Scrum Master for a newly established delivery team, supporting a major digital initiative focused on improving one of the company’s key distribution channels. Beyond facilitating Scrum ceremonies, the role requires someone who enjoys connecting people, enabling collaboration, and helping teams work effectively in an Agile environment that is still evolving in maturity. This role suits someone who is passionate about true Scrum practices, rather than combining Scrum with traditional project management responsibilities.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure the team follows Scrum principles and Agile best practices
Support the product backlog management process in collaboration with Product Owners
Help the team remove delivery impediments and blockers
Maintain and optimize Jira boards, workflows, and sprint tracking
Foster strong collaboration between business stakeholders, developers, and product teams
Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile ways of working
Contribute to building a high-performing team culture in a greenfield environment
Support teams working across distributed and remote locations
Requirements:
7-10 years of experience within Agile delivery environments
Proven experience working specifically as a Scrum Master (not primarily as a Project Manager)
Strong understanding of Scrum frameworks and Agile principles
Experience facilitating teams through delivery challenges and Agile transformation
Comfortable working in environments where Agile maturity is still evolving
Strong people skills – someone who can connect with teams, educate stakeholders, and build trust
Experience working with distributed or remote delivery teams
Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile tracking tools
Cantonese – required
English – required
Nice to have:
Scrum certifications such as PSM, CSM, or equivalent
Experience working in financial services or insurance environments
Exposure to digital, platform, or innovation-focused projects
