Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Perioperative Registered Nurse with experience in Ophthalmology Scrub/ Scout to join our clinical team on a Part-time basis 64hrs a fortnight. No overnights or on-call & occasional Saturday work optional. This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
  • Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
  • Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
  • Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
  • Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
  • Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift

Requirements

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Eligibility to Work in Australia: Full working rights are required
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience: in Perioperative Ophthalmology scrub/ scout nursing essential
  • Outstanding Communication & Interpersonal Skills
