We are looking for a meticulous and academically inclined Script Supervisor to support the smooth execution of presenter-led instructional video shoots for our MOOC and e-learning programs. This role ensures content integrity, delivery flow, and continuity from script to screen bridging the gap between instructional designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and production teams. You will play a crucial role during studio shoots, tracking script progression, ensuring accuracy of spoken content, and managing on-set alignment between the presenter, teleprompter, and visual aids.
Job Responsibility:
Script Continuity & Live Shoot Support: Ensure presenter adherence to the final approved script during recording sessions
Track script progress during shoots and flag deviations or retakes in real-time
Align script flow with visual slides, screen captures, graphics, and on-screen annotations
Content Accuracy & Consistency: Verify factual consistency and instructional sequencing in collaboration with instructional designers and SMEs
Identify mismatches between the script and what’s being recorded (terminology, transitions, examples)
Support presenters with cues, clarifications, or corrections during shooting, without interrupting natural delivery
Documentation & Metadata Management: Annotate shoot logs with timecodes, script segments, and content changes for post-production
Maintain continuity records across modules, lessons, and retake sessions
Ensure any script revisions are version-controlled and clearly communicated across stakeholders
Pre-Production Coordination: Review scripts for instructional clarity, timing, and recording feasibility prior to shoot schedules
Collaborate with the teleprompter operator, video director, and graphic editor to prepare visual elements tied to the script
Assist with script timing estimation to ensure content fits MOOC platform length guidelines
Post-Production Support: Hand off clean, annotated scripts and shoot reports to video editors for smooth post-production
Flag missed lines or slide mismatches that may need pick-ups or editing workarounds
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in content production, script supervision, or academic media environments
Prior experience with e-learning videos, MOOCs, or educational broadcasting strongly preferred
Understanding of script formats used for instructional or documentary-style videos
Familiarity with teleprompters, video production setups, and studio environments
Strong command over written English, grammar, and academic clarity
Proficiency in tools like Google Docs, Final Draft, StudioBinder, or content management systems
High attention to detail, especially for verbal delivery, visual accuracy, and sequencing
Comfort working with educators, academic content, and high-volume video shoots
Strong presence on set, able to tactfully intervene, suggest corrections, and coordinate calmly under time pressure
Process-driven and able to manage multiple lessons or courses in parallel with clean documentation
