Monitoring / SCOM Engineer. Hertfordshire (On-site). Up to £75K +£5400 Car allowance + Benefits. Active DV clearance. Monitoring Engineer with SCOM experience? Looking for a role where you can shape tooling as well as deliver hands-on engineering? We’re supporting a highly secure, complex environment where monitoring and operational visibility are critical to service performance. This is a chance to take ownership of monitoring solutions end-to-end—helping define, build, and improve the way infrastructure and services are observed and managed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and implement enterprise monitoring solutions (SCOM, PRTG)
  • Configure alerts, thresholds, and service health views
  • Build dashboards for operational and service desk visibility
  • Integrate monitoring with ITSM tooling
  • Monitor Windows, Linux, network devices, and virtual infrastructure
  • Support SNMP and other monitoring integrations
  • Produce technical documentation and low-level designs
  • Provide hands-on engineering support across live environments

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with SCOM and/or PRTG
  • Background in enterprise infrastructure monitoring
  • Experience across Windows, Linux, and network environments
  • Understanding of alerting, dashboards, and service views
  • Knowledge of monitoring integrations (e.g. SNMP)
  • Hands-on engineering mindset
  • Experience with tools like ManageEngine or similar platforms
  • Exposure to monitoring tool selection / implementation projects
