Talentmark are recruiting for a Scientist to join a global pharmaceutical company on a contract basis initially for 12-months. Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on creating value for people living with severe diseases in immunology and neurology now and into the future.
Job Responsibility:
Establish and develop host cell line systems to support the manufacturing of therapeutic antibodies and novel biologics
Generate and optimize stable mammalian cell lines for protein expression using advanced cell engineering and genome engineering techniques
Apply laboratory-based scientific expertise to support the development of manufacturing-ready host systems while ensuring compliance with GMP requirements
Work with molecular biology and engineering teams to support the development of robust cell line platforms
Carry out laboratory techniques including ddPCR, cloning, plasmid construction, flow cytometry/FACS and single-cell cloning
Requirements:
BSc degree in a relevant life sciences discipline
Industry experience in cell culture and the generation of stable mammalian cell lines for antibody or biologics expression
Experience with genome engineering technologies such as CRISPR-based cell engineering
Strong knowledge of molecular biology techniques including cloning, ddPCR and plasmid construction
Hands-on experience with flow cytometry/FACS and single-cell cloning systems
Experience working with laboratory and IT systems such as electronic lab notebooks, Office tools and molecular biology software such as SnapGene or Geneious
Ability to work occasional weekend shifts (approximately 1 in 4), with time off in lieu provided
