As a Scientist Organic Chemistry, you will join the Advanced Molecular Analysis (AMA) team within our Analytical Development department in Beerse. You will play a pivotal role in our mission to identify and quantify nitrosamines across various pharmaceutical matrices. This is a lab-based position where you will combine your expertise in chemistry and mass spectrometry to develop cutting-edge analytical methods and conduct deep-dive root cause investigations.
Job Responsibility:
Support the feasibility and development of innovative analytical methods, ranging from complex sample preparation to advanced chromatographic separations for trace impurity quantification
lead comprehensive investigations into nitrosamine formation and chemical reactivity from early-stage research through late-stage development
work closely with cross-functional teams and initiate partnerships with universities and research institutions to expand our external innovation network
utilize your experience to review documents and report scientific findings accurately
maintain a safe laboratory environment in strict accordance with GMP, environmental, and health regulations
Requirements:
PhD in Organic Chemistry (or a related field) is highly preferred
candidates with a Master’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience will also be considered
proven expertise in nitrosamines chemistry and hands-on experience with Mass Spectrometry (Triple Quadrupole and High-Resolution MS) is a significant advantage
strong background in developing chromatographic methods and familiarity with regulatory frameworks (ICH, EMA, FDA) and GMP guidelines
fast learner with scientific curiosity, a self-steering pro-active attitude, and ability to work effectively in a global team
fluent in English (written and spoken)
knowledge of Dutch is a plus
ready to work onsite 5 days a week in Beerse, Belgium
