We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Scientist III to join our Antibody Technologies team. The role involves contributing to the research and development of monoclonal antibodies, including antibody screening using flow cytometry, hybridoma tissue culture, recombinant protein expression, and more. The successful candidate will design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, and present findings at lab meetings.
Job Responsibility:
Design and execute complex experiments using multi-color Flow Cytometry
Analyze data with FCS Express and FlowJo software, report results, and complete documentation as required by protocols and SOPs
Perform transfection and expression of antibodies in cell lines, manage hybridoma tissue culture, and culture various cell lines for testing
Utilize automated liquid handling and other automation equipment for experiments
Solve problems and ensure daily operations and timelines are met
Identify and implement process improvements
Train junior scientists on laboratory techniques and processes
Independently analyze research data, plan follow-up experiments, and prioritize workload
Handle scheduling, operational, and maintenance duties within the laboratory
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-6 years of laboratory experience
Extensive hands-on experience with flow cytometry and tissue culture
Experience with automated liquid handling and assay automation is beneficial
Proficiency in flow cytometry, particularly on BD flow cytometers (LSRII, LSR Fortessa, Canto, Aria)
Skilled in tissue culture techniques and cell transfection for protein expression
Familiar with software: BD FACSDiva, FlowJo, FCS Express, and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledgeable in molecular biology (DNA preparation)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment
Bachelor’s or Master of Science degree in cellular or molecular biology, immunology, cell biology, or a related scientific discipline
Nice to have:
Experience with automated liquid handling and assay automation is beneficial
