Job Description:

Temporary Research Assistant to support the Protein Production Teams at a Biotech company in Oxford. The Role is expected to last for 3- 6 months with an immediate start.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to the existing team of Lab Scientists in the Protein Science Department
  • Preparation of reagents, buffer solutions and media plates
  • Protein Expression, Purification and refolding
  • Preparing and processing bacterial inclusion bodies
  • Following SOPS and ensuring all work is conducted in line with company standards

Requirements:

  • A Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific subject
  • Experience within protein science, conducting the above responsibilities
  • Experience with a range of instruments and techniques including – Ion Exchange Chromatography(IEC), Immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) and Size‑exclusion chromatography (SEC) & ÄKTA pure system
  • Prior experience of working in a similar biotech company is highly beneficial
  • Must be Available to begin w/c 02/02/26 in Oxford (OX4)
