Job Description:

An outstanding, modern, creative secondary school in Islington is looking for graduates in Biology, Physics, or Chemistry for a Science Teaching Assistant role starting September 2025. This is a hands-on role supporting lessons across KS3-5 with a focus on raising attainment and preparing interventions for GCSE and A Level students. Ideal for individuals planning to enroll in teacher training programs.

Job Responsibility:

Tutoring Science 1:1 and to groups of 2-6 children
Working across KS3-5 with a focus on raising attainment
Carrying out GCSE & A Level interventions
Enrolling on the Trainee Science Teacher (Schools Direct).

Requirements:

Desirable degree in Biology, Physics, or Chemistry from a reputable University
Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
Confidence in ability and knowledge of the GCSE & A Level curriculum
Ability to engage and motivate students
Commitment and ambition to succeed.
