Job Description

We are looking for educators who can turn a classroom into a laboratory of discovery. You will be responsible for sparking curiosity and delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus).

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and lead safe, engaging practical experiments and theoretical lessons that align with the National Curriculum
  • Differentiate work to ensure students of all abilities including those with SEN and EAL can access the wonders of Science
  • Use regular assessments to identify learning gaps and provide the scaffolding students need to excel in their exams
  • Maintain rigorous health and safety standards within the lab environment
  • Work alongside lab technicians and Teaching Assistants to ensure lessons run smoothly and effectively

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • degree in a Science-related subject
  • experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
  • valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • strong classroom management skills and a passion for student-led learning
