Job Responsibility:
Inquiry-Based Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to lead A-Level classes in your specific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
Practical Leadership: Facilitate safe and exciting laboratory experiments that bring the curriculum to life, supported by a dedicated team of technicians
GCSE Mastery: Lead Year 11 cohorts through their exam specifications, utilising data-driven tracking to ensure every student hits or exceeds their target grade
STEM Advocacy: Contribute to extracurricular clubs and national competitions, fostering a culture of scientific inquiry throughout the school
Curriculum Development: As a permanent staff member, you will help shape and refine the Science schemes of work to ensure they remain cutting-edge and inclusive
Pastoral Commitment: Take on a form tutor role, providing holistic support and academic mentoring to a dedicated group of students
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in a Science-based subject
Subject Passion: A genuine love for discovery and the ability to link classroom content to real-world breakthroughs and global challenges
Classroom Management: The ability to maintain a safe, focused, and high-energy environment, particularly during practical sessions
Collaborative Spirit: A desire to work closely with colleagues to maintain the school's high standards of STEM education
