Job Description:

An ambitious and inclusive Secondary School in the Borough of Barking & Dagenham is on the hunt for a Science Teacher to join their thriving department from January 2026. This is a full-time and permanent position. The Science Department has gone from strength to strength under its inspiring leadership – blending a team of dynamic, experienced, and early-career teachers with multiple graduate Teaching Assistants supporting attainment across KS3, KS4, and KS5. This school is part of a high-performing community trust, providing staff with extensive professional development, structured career progression, and a genuine focus on wellbeing and workload balance.

Job Responsibility:

Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5
Inspire and motivate students across a range of abilities
Work closely within a collaborative Science Department

Requirements:

Must have UK QTS (or be in the process of gaining it)
Strong academic background – Degree, A Levels, and GCSEs
Confident classroom practitioner with evidence of Good or Outstanding teaching
Passionate about Science education and committed to student progress
Positive team player who welcomes feedback and collaboration
