Job Description:

Flexible Science Teacher roles in and across Chester! Start: ASAP or Summer Term (After Easter). We are on the outlook for Science Teachers to join our secondary schools in Chester. Whether you prefer the high-achieving academies in Christleton and Upton or the busy schools in Chester City Centre and Tarporley, we have a role for you! We offer: Full-Time, Part-Time, Long-Term, and Flexible Day-to-Day roles.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
Manage classroom behaviour effectively following school policies
Ensure all students remain on task and complete their set work
Collect completed work at the end of the lesson for the regular teacher
Provide a brief handover note regarding student progress and behaviour
Supervise students during break times or lesson transitions when required
Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all pupils
Register attendance accurately at the start of every lesson
Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures strictly
Support students with their individual learning needs during tasks

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (mandatory)
An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong communication skills and a knowledge of the subject
