Job Description

Affinity Workforce Solutions is delighted to be working with a multi-academy trust in Weston-super-Mare to appoint a full-time Science Teacher. This role involves delivering dynamic and engaging science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, encouraging curiosity and independent learning. We’re looking for a qualified teacher with UK classroom experience, a positive attitude, and the ability to inspire and motivate learners. The position is Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, paid on the MPS1-UPS3 scale, with the potential to become permanent.

Job Responsibility

  • Delivering dynamic and engaging science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Encouraging curiosity and independent learning

Requirements

  • Qualified Teachers Status
  • Have a sound understanding of Secondary Education
  • Have excellent literacy, Numeracy, and communication skills
  • Have confidence supporting the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum
  • Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humour
  • Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties and other SEND students, both in smalls groups and 1:1
  • Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job
