Job Description:

Randstad Education is looking for a motivated and versatile Science Teacher to join a historic and well-connected school community in Prittlewell. Located at the heart of the Southend area, this role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has a passion for making Science accessible to all learners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that meet the needs of a diverse student population
  • Bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, making Science relevant to everyday life
  • Focus on student engagement and progress, particularly in preparing Year 11 classes for their GCSE practicals and written exams
  • Work collaboratively with the department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
  • Utilise effective classroom management strategies to foster a focused and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • A proactive approach to teaching and a willingness to contribute to the school's extra-curricular STEM clubs
  • An Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
  • The ability to commute easily to the Prittlewell/Southend Central area
