Job Description:

Randstad Education is looking for a dynamic and intellectually strong Science Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in the vibrant city of Chelmsford. As the county town of Essex, Chelmsford offers a fantastic mix of "Outstanding" schools and excellent transport links, making this an ideal location for an ambitious educator.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver a high-quality Science curriculum across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 (A-Level) teaching for the right candidate
  • Inspire curiosity through complex practical experiments-from observing cellular structures to testing chemical reactions
  • Foster a disciplined yet creative classroom environment where every student feels empowered to succeed
  • Use data-driven insights to track progress and prepare Year 11 students for their upcoming GCSEs
  • Collaborate with an expert team of technicians and fellow Science teachers to share best practices

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory
  • A strong degree in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
