Science Teacher (Primarily Teaching Physics and Chemistry) – Islamia Girls’ School. Islamia Girls’ School seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Science Teacher to join our dedicated and professional team. We are looking for a committed practitioner who is eager to raise academic standards, deliver engaging lessons, and inspire pupils through a love of science. This is a part-time role (3 days per week), but we are open to considering 4 or 5 days for the right candidate.
Job Responsibility:
Teach Physics and Chemistry at KS4 and All Sciences across KS3
Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire a love for learning
Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the Science Department
Participate actively in the school’s extracurricular programme and wider school life
Embrace and support the school’s Islamic ethos, promoting values of respect, integrity, and excellence
Use digital technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning
Work collaboratively with teachers across both Islami Girls’ School and Brondesbury College. From time to time, teaching may be required at Brondesbury College, and teachers are encouraged to contribute to both schools’ academic and pastoral success
Requirements:
Hold QTS and a relevant Science related degree- Physics is desirable
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
Ability to differentiate and adapt teaching strategies to suit the needs of all learners
A proactive team player who works collaboratively with colleagues across both schools
Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
A keen interest in pastoral care, ensuring the well-being and personal development of students
