Science Teacher | KS3 & KS4 | Exceptional Leigh-on-Sea Academy Are you a scientist with a gift for sparking curiosity? We are looking for an inspiring Teacher of Science to join a high-achieving secondary academy in the sought-after Leigh-on-Sea area. We aren't just looking for someone to explain the laws of physics or biological processes; we want an educator who can cultivate scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and a sense of wonder in every student. Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality, practical-led Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (specialisms in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics are all welcome)
  • Bridge the gap between theory and the real world, showing students how Science shapes their future and the global environment
  • Act as a Form Tutor, playing a vital role in the pastoral care and character development of our young people
  • Collaborate with a dynamic department that values team-teaching and sharing best practices to ensure every student reaches their potential

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong degree in a Science-related field
  • A 'determined and thoughtful' practitioner who maintains high expectations for all students
