Job Description:

Justteachers are working closely with a well‑run and forward‑thinking Secondary school in King’s Lynn, who are seeking a motivated and dynamic Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term supply basis, starting ASAP. This school fosters a culture of curiosity, enquiry, and hands‑on learning, encouraging pupils to engage confidently with Science. The department is established and well supported, with access to modern resources, clear curriculum guidance, and a leadership team that values consistency and high standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, following clearly sequenced schemes of work
  • Deliver practical investigations safely, ensuring adherence to health and safety expectations
  • Monitor attainment and progress, using assessment to shape future lessons
  • Support pupils in preparing for assessments and examinations
  • Maintain a focused and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
  • Two recent references
  • Recent experience teaching Science in a UK Secondary school
  • Confidence managing practical work within a laboratory setting
  • Clear classroom presence and effective organisational skills
