Secondary Science Teacher Roles in Southport! Start Date: ASAP or January 2026. Pay: £150-£220 per day (based on experience). Are you an enthusiastic, qualified Secondary Science Teacher (QTS) seeking a rewarding role? Southport schools are looking for dedicated specialists to inspire students in KS3 and KS4. Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (General Science) across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE)
  • Plan exciting practical experiments and demonstrations safely
  • Mark student work and provide clear feedback for progress
  • Monitor student data to ensure all pupils reach their scientific potential
  • Manage and maintain a safe and organised classroom/laboratory
  • Inspire a love for Science and encourage scientific thinking
  • Collaborate with the Science department team and technicians

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching the UK Secondary Science Curriculum
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and laboratory safety
  • Excellent classroom management skills
