Science Teacher £140 - £150 per day Westminster Are you a passionate and inspiring Science Teacher with a talent for making complex subjects exciting and accessible? Do you have a proven ability to motivate students and help them achieve their best in Science? Are you ready to join a supportive and collaborative Science department in a forward-thinking school? If so, then we would love to hear from you! We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Science Teacher to join our partner secondary school in Westminster. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic educator who can deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential for A-Level teaching for the right candidate. This is a chance to be part of a dedicated team committed to fostering a love for all things scientific.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) to students from Year 7 to Year 11
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve and excel
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom and laboratory environment that encourages curiosity, practical inquiry, and a love for scientific discovery
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to develop innovative schemes of work and share best practices
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extra-curricular science clubs, school events, and departmental meetings
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and well-being

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • A relevant degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4)
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Science and experience preparing students for GCSE exams
  • The ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, from those requiring additional support to gifted and talented students
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a positive, resilient approach
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • A Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
