Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with supportive and forward-thinking secondary schools to recruit enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teachers of Science who can deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across the curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to inspire young people to explore scientific concepts, develop critical thinking, and build confidence in their abilities within a positive learning environment.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
Promote enquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times
Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
Experience teaching Science at secondary level (including placements)
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Nice to have:
Experience delivering lessons across KS5
A reflective and adaptable teaching approach
