Job Description:

Wellington College Prep is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join our academic team from either September 2026 or January 2027. Located in Sandhurst, Berkshire, and set within the grounds of Wellington College, Wellington College Prep offers a vibrant and nurturing environment for pupils and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving Prep School where Science plays an important role in developing pupils' curiosity, confidence and enjoyment of learning. Teaching is characterised by high expectations, creativity and a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their best academically and personally.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging Science teaching across the Prep School age range
  • foster enquiry through practical work, discussion and exploration
  • work collaboratively within the department and the wider academic team
  • contribute to a culture of reflective practice and shared expertise
  • support strong outcomes for pupils of all abilities
  • play a full role in the life of the School
  • contribute to pastoral ethos and co-curricular programme
  • as a tutor, support the academic and personal development of a group of pupils
  • build positive relationships with families and colleagues

  • Strong subject knowledge

  • excellent communication skills
  • calm and professional classroom presence
  • willingness to engage fully in the wider life of the School
  • experience within a Prep or Primary setting is welcomed
  • must have the right to work in the UK
