Job Responsibility:
Curriculum Development: Contributing to the delivery and development of the Science curriculum to meet educational and social needs
Planning & Assessment: Maintaining short, medium, and long-term plans while monitoring and reporting on student progress to parents and senior staff
Collaborative Working: Partnering with a multi-disciplinary team to review EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC reviews
Supportive Environment: Using non-confrontational methods to manage challenging behaviours and maintain a motivating, safe classroom
Requirements:
PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent teaching qualification
Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience in curriculum implementation
Ability to engage pupils in positive, enabling relationships
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Driving License: Due to our location, the ability to drive is highly desirable as public transport links are limited
Nice to have:
Experience working in a special school environment, particularly with pupils with autism
Postgraduate diploma in Autism
